This last week, Vishal Sikka, executive board member SAP and IBM associate partner Vijay Vijayasankar engaged on a quick fire conversation that touched upon IBM Jeopardy and the potential for SAP’s high speed HANA technology and IBM’s Watson AI….the resulting conversation was explosive.

But at these events, SAP makes a point of trying to get at least one session with a small group of influencers and so it was on this occasion. I get on really well with Vishal Sikka even though he knows I am one of SAP’s sharper critics. He seems to revel in the intellectual jousting around hard problems.
